Overview: On the northern tip of Antigua in Hodges Bay, Colonna enjoys warm seas and trade winds in a tropical climate. Colonna’s Italian-style red roofed buildings, white walkways and tropical gardens make an attractive backdrop for the pool, beaches and bay. You can enjoy spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea or over the pool, one of the largest on Antigua, from every room and some villas. On the water, dinghy sailing and windsurfing conditions are ideal, particularly for intermediate and advanced sailors. Year-round crosswinds grace the protected cove, creating good sailing and windsurfing conditions right off the beach. During the winter months, November to April, conditions are better suited to intermediate and advanced dinghy sailors and windsurfers due to the stronger trade winds. Nearby there are wonderful anchorages and beaches to explore and for underwater exploration, scuba diving is arranged at the Resort through Ultramarine, an onsite PADI dive school. An excellent starting point for exploring the island’s bays and beaches, sailing from our bareboat yacht charter base in English Harbor offers an instant choice of some fantastic nearby anchorages. Sail to the nearby Bay, a perfect location for lunch, swimming and snorkeling. Sail on board a selection of bareboat yachts ranging from 35ft to 43ft (skippers available on request).
